Sovex Score Awards’ Hat-trick!
Sovex have been shortlisted for all three of the business awards that they recently entered. They are in contention to receive 2 awards at the highly prestigious 2012 Wirral Business Awards. In the Medium Business of the Year category, Sovex will compete with Foz Electrical Ltd and Regal Wholesale Ltd to take away the prize. They are up against, ICE and Inteb Sustainability Ltd for the Innovation and Creativity Award. The winners will be announced at a black tie Gala Dinner on Friday 6th July at Birkenhead School.
Sovex are also on the shortlist for the Liverpool Daily Post’s Medium Business Award 2012, along with GHA Livigunn and Mando Group. Some of the biggest names in Merseyside and Cheshire will be honoured at an event hosted by Peter Sissons at the Anglican Cathedral on Thursday June 21st. It promises to be spectacular evening.
Sovex set to exhibit at Warehouse Technology Group Event
Sovex will be exhibiting at a unique, free event taking place at the Logistics Research and Innovation Centre (part of the Mantra facility) in Manchester on the 23rd and 24th May. There are lots on offer at the event and the centre comprises a 12,000 square feet unit fitted out by the partners. The benefits of visiting include receiving unbiased advice into the latest technology, seeing products in action and a relaxed environment, where visitors are allowed to tour the facility without pressure.

Sovex Raise £6,000 for Autism Concern!
On Wednesday April 18th, seven Sovex employees embarked on a gruelling, three day, coast to coast cycle ride to raise money for Autism Concern. The charity provides support and options to people affected by all forms of autism in gaining independence and control of their lives. The team was Michele Dematties, Steve Nuttall, Steve Stanbridge, Ian Jarvis, Barry Walker, Graeme Cox and Joe Green.

Merseyside Manufacturer booming through European expansion
Sovex is celebrating a hat trick of orders worth £100,000 from across Europe. Sovex has sold vehicle loaders to TGW Logistics Group, in Paris; Office Depot in Sweden; and Schaefer, in Germany, as a direct result in establishing a new joint venture, Sovex Europe.
Contract win for Sovex
CONVEYOR manufacturer Sovex has won a national service contract with one of the UK’s biggest parcel handling firms. The Wirral-based company beat off stiff competition from rivals to land the contract to keep DPD and Interlink’s material handling systems, such as conveyor belts, in tip top shape.

Andy Bounds, Journalist for the Financial Times, visited Sovex on 8th March. He interviewed David Lindfield (MD) and Michele Dematties (FD) at Sovex UK headquarters. Andy was interested in the servicing aspect of Sovex and wanted to ask David and Michele if they believed there is a revival in British manufacturing.
